TubeMiner ("TubeMiner," "we," "us") provides YouTube SEO analysis. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect when you connect your Google and YouTube accounts, how we use and store it, and how you can disconnect and delete it. TubeMiner's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Data we collect
We collect only the data needed to deliver the service:
- Google identity. Your email address, name, profile picture, and Google account identifier, obtained when you sign in with Google OAuth.
- YouTube data (read-only). Using the
youtube.readonlyscope, we read your channels, videos, video metadata, public analytics/metrics, and comments in order to produce SEO analysis and alerts. We never modify, upload, or delete content on your YouTube account. - Billing metadata. When you subscribe, our payment processor (Stripe) handles your card details. We store only non-sensitive billing metadata such as your Stripe customer ID, subscription status, and plan tier. We do not store full card numbers.
- Derived/operational data. SEO analysis results, analysis history, alert records, and periodic metric snapshots we generate from the above.
How we use your data
- Generate SEO analysis, scores, metrics, and alerts for your channels and videos.
- Run scheduled background syncs that refresh your metrics over time.
- Manage your subscription, entitlements, and access to paid features.
- Operate, secure, and improve the service.
We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or share YouTube data with third parties except the infrastructure providers below that are required to run the service.
Where your data is stored
- Application data is stored in Amazon DynamoDB within Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- To enable scheduled syncs, your YouTube OAuth refresh token is stored encrypted in AWS Systems Manager (SSM) Parameter Store. It is used only to obtain short-lived access tokens for reading your YouTube data on the schedule you authorized.
- Payment processing and card data are handled by Stripe under their own policies.
Data retention
We retain your account and analysis data while your account is active. Transient OAuth state expires automatically. When you disconnect or request deletion (below), we remove your stored profile data, YouTube-derived data, and your encrypted refresh token.
Disconnecting and deleting your data
You can revoke TubeMiner's access and delete your data at any time:
- Revoke access: remove TubeMiner from your Google account at myaccount.google.com/permissions. This immediately invalidates the stored refresh token.
- Request deletion: email us at jon@n3rd-media.com and we will delete your stored data, including your encrypted refresh token, within 30 days.
Children's privacy
TubeMiner is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
